Lovely pictures Karl, many thanks.

I have very much enjoyed your photos, Karl. I am envious of the strength of your cousin Hubert to be able still to enjoy these trips. My kind regards to him, may he continue to make these trips for many years. 8)

Wonderful photos Karl.
Maggi, this respectable age is the result of the Austrian 'Naturburschen' -
If you walk into the mountains for 100 years, you will become very old ;D
-
I am sure this is true, Thomas.... what a pity that we cannot all walk in the mountains for one hundred years :)
-
I am pleased that you have liked the pictures.
With my cousin I still have gone last winter at approx. 80 cm of snow without skis to his favorite peak. Yes, this is an Austrian nature-boy.
I thank Allen.

I feel a cold coming on-and vertigo ;D

That poeticus meadow is simply stunning. I love the closeup shot of one flower. The yellow centre with the pencilled ring of red around the edge makes a perfect contrast to the rest of the flower.
-
Karl, I enjoyed your pictures from the Austrian Mountains!
Does the N poeticus grow wild or is the meadow tended in some ways? I have seen huge swathes of Narcissi in valleys in Andorra but not poeticus!
-
Hoy,
a wild meadow is this one of an organization this is looked. The meadow is cut only after the seed maturity. There are many such meadows. They are beautiful.

Thanks, Karl. I thought that the meadows were tended in some way or else the trees had taken over completely in a few years.
Und alle Blumen sind schöne ;D

Thanks for posting.

Karl, your fabulous photos conjure up the spirit of your walks in the Austrian Alps; such wonderful plants you show us from single beauties to meadows full of N. poeticus and drifts of Cypripedium calceolus in shady places. Thank you.
-
It is such a beautiful time walk and botanize. I would like to let you participate a little.

Karl what a fantastic display! I've seen Cypripedium once in the wild in Norway and then only a few plants! However I know that there exist some places where they grow in abundance.
-
Nature pure. Big areas of the woods are inundated by water and gravel again and again. Most Cypripedium calceolus comes through by the thick gravel edition.
