I start a new topic because it's not about exhibition only. We spent 6 beautiful days in Czech seeing nature and gardens.
First morning in Prague...

Olga,
I will await the further instalments with great anticipation.
The Mail Office seems a wonderful building, such beautiful decoration on the walls and such a bright and open space.
The plants are good too!!! - The hazel is best and would have won at the show.
Paddy

No wonder you wanted to photograph the Mail office Olga
-
Look forward to more postings - they are magnificent.
-
Thank you Arthur, Pat and Paddy!

Very nice pictures of very pretty plants!
I have visited Czech republic (and Czechoslovakia) a couple of times, and once I stumbled upon a flower show in Praha (Prague). I got several colourful magazines and realized for the first time that garden was highly esteemed!
Btw, The red female hazel flower is called "natavon" (hope of nuts) in Norwegian ;D
-
Olga what camera do you have? and what lens do you use for close-ups?
Beautiful saxifrages and perfectly captured.
-
Thank you Arthur! I use Canon 40D and 100/2.8 macro lens. But such kind shoots could be made by any standard lens (not very wide of course).

By any standard lens maybe - but not sadly by any standard photographer; there are not many with your talent....

Olga,
Thank you, as usual, for your beautiful photographs....
I am very curious, however, why one is not allowed to photograph inside the main post office?
Kristl
-
I don't think one would be allowed to photograph in such a place in this country either... worry about terrorist attacks ( a main post office being a strategic building) and even old fashioned robbery mean that one is likely to face problems with picture taking in all sorts of public places, such a train stations, which can put the damper on the family holiday snaps in such pretty buildings as the Praha post office.
-
just goes to show what an innocent i am.....this would never have crossed my mind.
-
Magnificent pictures once again Olga !!!
Not often have Saxifraga been pictured like this !!
Thanks a million for showing !
-
Thank you Luc, thank you Kristl!
The no photographing icon was hidden and I didn't saw it. That's because I had a second to make photo before that man stopped me. Hope it is not informative for terrorists. 8)

Susann photographed a lot and not only Pulsatillas of course. :) Unfortunately she was not with us at the sunny day when Miyakea opened its flowers. :( She saw only buds a day earlier.
I made thousands of images and still sort them and my impressions. It was very interesting and inspiring journey. As usual.

Beautiful images of wonderful places!
Of course the plants are great, but just as much I love to see the rocks, the ancient places and houses!
I love rock gardens not only because plants love them, but for the rocks themselves, so a place like the ancient stone castle on a rocky ridge is wonderful to me :)
