Title: Zephyranthes
Post by: Stephenb on August 09, 2007, 02:58:22 PM
This one originates from seed received as Zephyranthes atamasco sown about 8-years ago. It finally decided to flower yesterday. What is its true identity? Atamasco is white, isn't it?

Stephen,

If the outer petals are red then it is probably Habranthus tubispathus, which seems to turn up as seed under all sorts of names despite resembling none of them.

Yes, the outer petals are red. Thanks for the ID...
