Does anyone have a suggestion for the name of this charming Anemone from China? The plant is about 20 cm high so it is quite a big species.

May be Anemone exigua...

It looks a lot like Anemone prattii. Very similar to one we have in Gothenburg, a very beautiful plant.

Anybody any idea which species from China this can be? It produces a basal rosette of a couple of leaves and then gives a multibudded flower.

Nice looking plant whatever it is

Pascal,
It looks a lot like A. prattii. But, you would have to look at or give me carpel indumentum characters, rhizomes (looks like they are present), and some other stuff. Nice plant no matter what it is.

Aaron,
I have posted another Chinese Anemome in the identification section that looks more like the A. prattii they grow as that species in Goteborg (http://www.srgc.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=6969.0). On the picture of this posting there is a leaf in the same pot of that other species so it is a mix I received for this one. This plant produces several flowers from the same shoot (will make a picture later once the other buds are open, there are 3 buds hiding under the flower) and forms a basal rosette, the other species (similar to Goteborg) does not and is single flowered with a single, much bigger leaf and flower. The FoC gives for prattii 1-2 flowered with flowers having 5 sepals so I was "lost in identification" and posted it on the forum.
