I have got a 6 year old bulb that has just arrived from S.A Its quite large how many years do they take to get to flowering size

About 25, according to an article in Herbertia, 1984

It sounds as if I have several seedling bulbs of C. buphanoides that I'll not likely live to see bloom! Maybe I should work up a trade with someone at least 20 years younger than I am.

The flowering time is about 8/9 years according to a good source they take slightly longer than other crinum plants
