Yesterday Brian and I braved the elements to go to Rode Hall in deepest Cheshire to look at the snowdrops. It's not the biggest display but it is one of the closest to us. I have taken some pictures, where snodrops are not named it's because they are clumps out in the general garden and have no names. Near the Walled Garden there are small clumps of named varieties and I have included them. Sorry my pictures are not brilliant, in my defense it was quite windy and I will never be a Booker as I decline to get my knees or any other part of my anatomy wet whilst taking pictures.

The unknown shrub is one I feel I should know but can't bring to mind.

Thanks Dave.
Now we get to the named varieties. I hope jacquanetta is correct, th label was very faint.

Had a bit of trouble with last posting hope this finishes off the subject.

Shelagh your picture of scharlockii should be characterised by the thin extended split spathe (rabbits' ears) over the flower with the outer petals brushed in green. Unfortunately it is not so maybe someone moved their label!

I don't blame you! :D

I agree Diane the shape of the receptacle is quite wrong, perhaps they shuffled the labels before they put them in ;D
