Title: First Iris lutescens flowers in Spain (in habitat)

Hello

Today I see the first Iris lutescens flowering in Valencia (Spain). Here the temperatures are around 22 ºC. And too I saw one friend...One caterpillar of Charaxes jasius in Arbutus unedo:

Lovely iris and I like your friend too.  I had to google him to see what he will turn in to - a wonderful transformation....

Nice. We're a bit behind you - it was -26C last week! And to think we're approximately the same latitude.  :o

Thanks to all.
Tom, in Valencia city and arounds (Spain) the weather is very, very good all the year  ;D. Sometimes there are cold but no much days. In other parts of Spain, much cooler weather: Madrid, Cuenca, and north of the country  :o

Khalid why don't you try to picture I. lutescens forms alba, lutea or campbellii?

Hello Rafa!!!

I'm waiting until April to find new Iris flowers forms. In april there are very much Iris in flower with very much variability. I'll try more pictures...

Hi Rafa and other colleagues!

After several years I put the promised photos. Unfortunately I no longer live in Spain, so this was my last tour in the Spanish mountains. I not found Iris lutescens white flower because I was too early. These photos are from the first week of April 2010 and could not return later.

Does anyone have seeds or rhizomes of Iris lutescens white to exchange?
