Now 4pm in the afternoon of Jan 1st so well and truly into the New year. I hope everyone has a great one, and happier for the many people around the world whose 2010 was not the best.

I'm definitely into NY resolutions and have made two. I plan to look after my potted plants better and I am not going to buy any more Nutella. I'm doing really well, having weeded and watered some pots soon to be "entroughed," when I came home from my market at 2pm and having finished the last jar of Nutella on Dec 30th, I have so far not bought another! ;D

you are a shining example of willpower, lesley!
but what's wrong with nutella? the t.v. commercial all but says that one cannot be a good mother if not serving it to one's children daily! ;)

What is the large white flower?
Mark, the large white flower isn't that large! It is a double form of an Anthemis I think. I couldn't take cuttings at that time.
Here's a normal form and some other plants from the same place Mt Suphan eastern Turkey.

Cohan, I've never seen Nutella advertised on our TV. It was that wonderful rich brown colour that attracted me in the first place, a couple of years ago and since then, I've never been without it. With all due respect to good mothers everywhere, they'd be much better for the sake of their children's shapes, to leave in on the supermarket shelves. ::)

lol--i'd tend to agree--they talk about how many hazelnuts and how much skim milk is in every cup--pure nutrition! no mention of sugar or other ingrdients--oils presumably...lol; better as an occasional treat than a breakfast staple ;)

Sorry a bit late but Happy New Year to all.
Am in New Orleans and boy these people no how to party, bit scary for me so came back to the Hotel with lots of goodies to watch a movie. I suppose it's a sign of my age, can't  stand crowds and noise  ::) ;D

A bit more late...but Happy New Year to all the forumists. Good gardening, enjoying every little present each day brings us. And a special thought for all the gardeners ( humble or famous ) who left us in 2010.
Wish you all bunches of flowers for 2011...
