Title: The Rock Garden 119 July 2007- errata
Post by: Rafa on July 16, 2007, 12:16:45 PM
Dear friends,

I have just received the journal!!. Very interesting articles, specially to me Paul Ravenhill's jurney in Turkey and Ian Young's Cultivating Erythroniums.
Very beautiful watercolours as well from Anne M Chambers.

I have seen two erratas, one in page 23, picture 40 (Corydalis erdelii = Fritillaria ???) and in page 91, picture 191 (Ophrys insectifera = Limodorum abortivum)

I have delighted very much seeing wild Iris pictures in Turkey!!

Thanks you!

All the best,

Rafa.

Just been reading mine, that also arrived this morning.

I thought picture 40 was also a frit and when I looked back the Corydalis erdelii is on page 13. On page 23 Fritillaria minima is mentioned.

I was also surprised to read that Crocus graveolens has leaves '1 to 5 cm wide' (page 3) ;).

The Frit. shown in pic 40 is Fritillaria minuta, mentioned on page 43.

In Ian Young's Erythronium article...pic 50 shows the chains on E. montanum, not dens canis.
Pic 51 should show a fully formed bulb outside the base of the pot.
Pic 55 shows Erythronium 'Susannah'
