Can you grow these new Echinaceas? I have tried and failed.

Can you grow these new Echinaceas? I have tried and failed.

I think they have a reputation for being short lived, but as John says in his blog "Matt Bishop at the Garden House in Devon, reports that he has had some success by planting plugs and cutting off the flowers until the plant has become properly established" perhpas the most sensible approach.
