Many years ago I was given wild-collected seeds of this Phaedranassa species. The plant has large silvery (powdery) leaves and flowers regularly in early summer. Your help in identifying it would be much appreciated.

The silver ashy leaves points to P. cinerea, a species that seem to be grown in several parts of South Africa. Phaedranassas are montane desert plants and several of the species grow in perfectly drained volcanic soils.

Thanks for that information, Alberto. I'll label my plants accordingly.  8)
