Title: Schizostylis 'Sunrise'
Post by: Rodger Whitlock on October 19, 2010, 05:25:09 PM
Used to have this beautiful cultivar but lost it to crowding and summer drought.

Anyone growing it who feels generous? All I need is a few scraps of root to get it going again.

NB: I mean 'Sunrise', not 'Oregon Sunset'. 'Sunrise' is a good pink, with faint warm (almost salmon) shading, and supposedly the largest flowers of any schizostylis cultivar.

I've never trusted any named ones, considering how well they seed.

But I'll take along a sampling of seedlings to Tuesday's meeting, so you can
see how they compare with your lost Sunrise.

"Lost Sunrise" the new novel by Sidney Shelled-on, replete with intrigue, danger and regret. ;D
cheers
