A sight to enjoy indeed, Dieter, on such a cold wet day. Lovely colours and the purest white.

Hallo Dieter,
what beautiful Habenarias you've got. Makes me think I should get some more, especially the white.

An autumn beauty I purchased this year as a bulb in spring is flowering now - Pleione 'Lassen Peak' (Pln. x lagenaria x Pln. praecox)
-
Thomas - beautiful - where did you get Lassen Peak, if I may ask?
Cheers,
Alex

Thank you, Alex.
I could fortunately swap with another forum member in a German garden forum to get one flowering sized buld of this beauty.

hello everyone
Pln Confirmation

That 'Confirmation' has a real nice coloration. :D
Interesting how different clones of this hybrid (or the natural hybrid x lagenaria) look mor like maculata or more like praecox - the one shown seems to be pretty intermediate.

Pleione praecox bought last year from Maren's nursery, flowering now.

Oh Alex, you beat me to it. And what a nice job you made of that.
Here is a bowl I planted a couple of years ago with 5 pseudobulbs. that was a bit of a mistake because, although I ended up with 35 flowers, they appear to be from four different clones. Back to the drawing board. The bowl needs splitting and this time I'll start my bowls with just one pseudobulb and increase from there. Then each bowl will have just one clone and look a lot better.
While I am looking at it on my dining table, the scent nearly knocks me out. It's very delicate in a cool place but in a warm room, it get's a bit much. The first picture shows the front view and the second shows the back.

hello Maren,
even if they're from different clones, the bowl looks quite good.

The first one of the winter flowering Pleiones opened a first flower in december - Wharfedale 'Pine Warbler'
