Title: Mesembryanthemum ID
Post by: Tony Lee on September 19, 2010, 06:29:54 PM
Can any one ID this plant for me please,It came to me from a friend as Mesembryanthemum tissoides,
He was not sure about the name,I can find nothing with that name,I have had it a few years and it has
never flowered, probably the reason i have never bothered to check it out,I think i have seen it in garden centres in the house plant area, thanks for your help Tony.

Tony if it has a yellow flower we used it in one of the Tatton displays but I'm afraid I can't remember it's name, sorry.

I have something that looks very similar as Bergeranthus glenensis.
Cheers

Thanks Mick,I think you are right, although it looks as though Bergeranthus glenensis is a synonym for
Hereroa glenensis,South African,Aizoaceae family,It does have yellow flowers Shelagh similar to dandilion,
I think the last display you did for Tatton was when we did the Saturday?so I must have seen it.
Thanks again see you soon Tony
