Title: Anemone hybridisation
Post by: anita on September 10, 2010, 08:12:52 AM
 Hi,

I was wondering if anyone within the SRGC brains trust could tell me if Anemone coronaria will cross back to an Anemone coronaria x A. pavonina cross. Just happen to have both flowering adjacent to each other in the garden (Southern Hemisphere) at the moment. I've also got A. blanda in bloom elsewhere. Is it worth getting to work with my paintbrush and introducing A. coronaria to A. blanda? Anita

Well it's always worth a try Anita. Nothing lost if it doesn't work.

That sounds like a fantastic cross the constitution of blanda and the colour of pavonina,if it takes could be a winner.
