Title: Ayr Flower Show 2010
Post by: Maggi Young on August 11, 2010, 08:25:29 PM
Those busy folks in  the Ayrshire Rock Garden Club have been beavering away as usual, at the Ayr Flower show in south west Scotland, and these photos and wee note are just in from the "éminence grise" of their exhibits, the talented Sheila McNulty.

At the Ayr Flower Show the Ayrshire Rock Garden Club entered  a ‘Pallet Garden’ down sizing from the larger stand.  It is always a problem at this time of year to get sufficient quantities of appropriate plants.

However the Pallet Garden generated Public interest and the take away postcards with information on our local club and SRGC went very well.

The Garden received a second prize in the competition.

Looks good, doesn't it? All I can say is, is that if this is the Second Prize winner, then  the First prize winner must be out of this world because I think the Ayr Group have done a great job there.
If you read the card on above the display you will see that the Ayr Group has been supporting the Ayr Show and publicising the SRGC and their Group for a great many years....

Well done , Folks!
