Here are some impressions of a recent visit at the Botanical Garden of the Ruhr University -
1. Acantholimon species in a large trough
2. + 3. Hunnemannia fumariifolia - tulip poppy
4. Uncarina species
5. Eschscholzia californica - colour variants
6. Dahlia species
7. Tree ferns - outside but sheltered between two glasshouses
8. Alstroemeria aurantiaca in the South America bed

This is a nice visit, Gerd. Super large stone troughs and I am surprised to see a Dahlia so early.
Perhaps the Uncarina is Uncarina roeoesliana ?

What a grand Chinese garden.... a pleasant place to wait!

a nice garden, and i like the stone troughs too!
the tree fern makes me think that my whole yard should be sheltered between -or within-glasshouses!

thank you for your impressive report. All the plants are so beautiful,but my personal
favourites are the tree ferns and the enormous Taxodium trees.
