Title: Ramonda and Haberleas under bench in greenhouse?
Post by: Mark Griffiths on June 24, 2010, 09:13:56 PM
hi, I have several plants I am thinking of putting under the bench in shade in the greenhouse, this is for one of two reasons;

I am waiting to find out if there really are white forms and not the normal ones like multiples I have had before...

they've not done too well outdoors and I want to have them in a more controlled environment

..my question is..will they flower if they are kept in the shade under the bench? If not I'll never find out if they are blue or white! thoughts?

They will  flower, Mark... we've had young plants left under the bench after potting on for far too long beofre planting out and they did flower, desperate to draw our attention, I think, and be released to the garden!

fantastic.thanks.

I've bought white ones that flowered blue, been sent replacements..also blue and so the only ones that might not be blue haven't flowered. It's a bit like a variation on schrodinger's cat..they are only white until they flower  ;D
