Title: Need ID on yellow flowered plant
Post by: Linda_Foulis on June 24, 2010, 05:32:26 PM: I know what this is but for the life of me I can't find the name of it. We all have those moments don't we? I've searched online through pages and pages of Alberta wildflowers, through my books, still can't find it.

This was all over the place at Abraham Lake in Alberta. If you get a chance to go there in your travels, do so, absolutely stunning.

The area is close enough (3 hour drive) that we plan on going out there again. It will be interesting to see how this plant progresses. Also found a really cool thistle out there that I would love to go back and see.

That would have been Novellius fictionalis ssp. hystericalis, David.
By the way ... isn't Lesley a very good judge of character? :D
