The spring clips in a greenhouse trap the glass panels. If mesh is put in replacement of this does the clip go through the mesh to hold it loosely or trap it like glass? If its trapped it would have have to be 2cm gap or less so the spring clip did not just go right through the gap. Welded mesh cannot be obtained with this very small gap. Flexable slightly thinner mesh could be obtained however.
Just need a little help on this one.
Thanks David.

I don't see that more flexible mesh would be a problem to use to open up the sides of a glasshouse to improve air-flow.
It may just be a case of regional availability, but we have rigid weldmesh in both 1cm and 2.5 cm squares which are ideal for this use.
This is the sort of stuff....( though not where we got ours, that is recycled)

Thanks thats great. Does a 1/2 inch cause the spring clips to fall through the gap. Would a 1/4 inch solve this so it traps it ? You mention 2.5cm being okay ? It lists 16 gauge as medium weight as a apposed to 19 gauge as light weight on the site you gave me Maggie. I think the medium weight would be a touch stronger. If thats not the way to go then please correct me. I am not that practical. Is cutting done with wire cutters from B&Q?
Thanks for your help Maggie its invaluable for the basics. Any one else could help of course. Much appreciated!
