Title: Campanulas from seed - but what are they?
Post by: JohnnyD on June 11, 2010, 02:10:14 PM
Clare raised these two campanulas from AGS seed.
The first, around 6/7" tall and across, was labelled 'andrewsii' and the second, around 12" tall and across, 'cretica'.
Clearly neither is correct and I would appreciate any help in identifying them.

The last one looks like Symphyandra zangezur, better known under the misspelled name S. zanzegur (http://www.google.com/images?rlz=1T4GUEA_enNO332NO332&q=symphyandra%20zanzegur&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi).

And, more correctly now known as Campanula zangezura

(yes, Kew checklist now includes some dicots ...  )

Finally! (And apparently yet another misspelling in IPNI...)
