Title: Paris (Kinugasa) japonica.
Post by: gote on June 11, 2010, 09:40:53 AM
I have had Kinugasa japonica for over ten years but it never grows much larger than a Paris quadrifolia and of course never flowers. (Yes it IS Kinugasa)
Obviously cold winters are not a problem. I grow it as a Trillium and many Trillium grow quite well in my place.
Any ideas??
Hopefully yours

Hi Göte

I grow my Kinugasa in humus, moist but well drained peat in light shade. I think you grow your Kinugasa in too much shade, I can clearly see that the flower opens up best in sun.

Thank you for the suggestion Kalle. I moved it to a ligher position a couple of years ago and that was not the reason. i will see if a more bog-like situation will do the trick.
Cheers
