Title: Can you ID this unknown plant - weed ?

Can any one tell us what this weed/ plant is.

There is a series of spikes along the underside of the mid-rib.

Teasel. Someone must be feeding wild birds

Thanks, Mark, I knew I should know it! Ian just  came in and  said, teasel, too ..... brain cells must be shrinking with the cold!  :-[
