Google kept the native haunts of Taraxacum rubrifolium a secret.
Is it perhaps merely a red-leaved form of the common dandelion, T. officinale? Or is it a good species?

Checking IPNI.ORG, nothing comes up for Taraxacum rubrifolium, but there is a Taraxacum rubifolium.

Doing an IPNI search as Taraxacum r* will give other name possibilities:

Good work, Mark.
It looks like the correct name is Taraxacum rubifolium (note spelling of specific epithet), and it's native to the Faeroe Islands.
Those of you growing this red-leaved, yellow-flowered dandelion: correct your labels and spread the word.

From a brief look at the dandelions with "red" connotations in their names, it seems that most hail from Scandanavian regions..... interesting that...... worthy of more investigation..... someday... ::)!

You're more than welcome to come here and collect as many samples as you can carry, but I'm afraid they're all relatively plain... :P

hmmm..... very kind of you but don't put the kettle on just yet! ;)
