Yesterday I have visited the Early Spring Exhibition in Prague and Karel Lang' s garden. It was wonderful. Here are some pics, but the quality is not the best due to the weather. I have no names of the Saxifraga, most are newer hybrids.
Enjoy the plants!

Wow Hans, you did have a treat, thanks for sharing it with us :D

Hans , what a mouthwatering selection of Saxifragas -I would be more than happy to grow just a few . We only grow 3 older hybrids here in Australia , as our Quarantine now will not permit us to import plants . The answer would be to grow them from seed , most could turn out to be attractive plants - if only seeds would be available .
-
I can only second that comment Otto. If we could find a kindly seed source.....maybe we could breed some of our own.

I collect seeds from my Saxes every year but I never sow them remembering Lang's words that every new plant must has known parents.

Gorgeous images as always, Olga ... more please? :D

Exquisite plants and stunning photography Olga !! :o :o
Thanks so much for posting !

Olga, your photos are outstanding as always. Thanks so much for posting them here for us to share.
I can understand Mr Lang's attitude about every new plant having known parents but when a large part of the world's alpine growers have no access to any of these superb plants, surely seeds could be distributed. It's not as if any seedlings would ever compete with those already in cultivation. On behalf of many growers in the southern hemisphere, I would be interested in contact with anyone willing to share seed, either from the UK or from Europe. Some, we here would not be allowed to import but many others would.
