Title: Asteropyrum
Post by: johnw on March 28, 2010, 07:19:24 PM
We just got a small collection of Asteropyrum species from Fraser Thimble Farms. Can anyone advise us on their wants?

Pretty little things and this one, A. peltatum, has a leaf like a baby Podophyllum.

A. peltatum is easy; prefers rich, moist soil in shade. It's somewhat deciduous here, probably evergreen for you.

(Also, $30 for one..!? I could have sent you three for that price ;D)

Hi, arisaema
How does Asteropyrum carry a cold or frost? What temperatures did he winter at in your garden?

Thimble farm can be $$$$ for some things but they have great deals on others, and sometimes they are the only one you can get things from. I am lucky to live close to them! Soooooooo much fun to wander through.
