My sons and I went to Blakenham Woodland Garden on Sunday - we've been going regularly for years; it's at its best in May for the sheets of bluebells but there is always something of interest. Surprisingly it doesn't seem well known and we are often the only people there. Lots of wildlife, including badgers, which means new plantings usually have to have wire netting guards (See the Daphne bholua 'Glendoick' in rather strange standard form).
