Title: ?Grass

I'm sure this is a grass. Does anyone know which one?

mark im sure i have sold that grass at the garden center i used to work at, its a carex 'sparkler' or something like that

It grows in a friends garden. If it has seeds are you interested?

The seedlings are very unlikely to be variegated.

Yep, unlikely to be variegated.  I would imagine that without a species name, a carex wouldn't be allowed in via seed to Aus anyway, as I am guessing that there are species on the banned list as weed potential.  I haven't checked ICON to be sure though.

Mark,

Not mentioned on the list, so wouldn't be allowed in.  4 are allowed in, 11 banned, and 3 are still being evaluated.  C. phyllocephala is not amongst them.  I rather like the variegation anyway, so would be wanting a variegated result.  ;D ;D  As Lesley said, very unlikely unfortunately, even if seed was allowed in.
