In 2006 I was lucky to go on a trip to Turkey when I work at RBGE, you mite recognise some of the pictures as an article of the trip was published in the, The Rock Garden No 119. Are trip started in Istanbul on the 12/5/06.
If you can name any plant let me know.
Sorry about the watermarks in the photos.

The third and fourth look like Carduus, possibly Carduus nutans, which does occur in Turkey.
-
The first looks to be a Centaurea. The final 'thistle' is a stunner!
-
5,6 look like Cirsium spp..
If you are interested in searching a bit, this site can be used to find Cirsium (or other plants) that occur in Turkey, native or introduced.

Hello Paul,
These are my native plants. That is nice to see them here.
The first one is 'Crupina crupinastrum' Asteraceae
The secont is 'Cistus creticus' Cistaceae
For the rest I am not sure! If I can see whole part of plants, Maybe I could say something.
