Hi all
Have just been given a couple of small tubers of Habenaria Medusa/Myriotricha.
Wondered if any one has tried this wonderful and unusual Habenaria and could pass on some tips as to it"s culture requirements.
I have only ever once seen a flowering plant, which was last August and as it was £35 I resisted the temptation .I guess it is winter dormant like many of the others and will start into growth in spring.

Hello Eric
I grow this orchid in:
1 part b'cuzz coco
1 part fine bark
2 parts seramis or perliet
1 part coco brick
Dormant in the winter 15 degree Celcius
I summer I grow myriotrichia on the windowsill

Thanks Frans, as I thought ,mine are only around 3cm and have a seasons growth to do first.
Overall these seem to be similar in requirements and bulb size to Carnea.

My ignorance knows no bounds. Not only have I never heard of the plant in question but most of the compost ingredients are unknown too. Now I'm thoroughly depressed on a dull and rainy Sunday morning. :'(

Shelagh, I can at least show you a photo of the tuber. ;)
Many photos are available to view of this lovely orchid on the internet. :)

Eric,
It looks like you bought a mouse dropping. ;D ;D ;)
Seriously though, good luck with growing it. I wish they were available over here.
