To my horror I found out that my clusiana bulbs have been eaten! I want to replace them as soon as possible, so I would prefer to have new bulbs. Does anyone know a source?

Paul Christian (Rare Plants) often has it but it seems to be unavailable this year. Perhaps it's rather late anyhow.

Mine are from PC, but this year he do not stock them. I have also tried Potterton and RV Roger, which I buy from regular, but without any luck.

What "critter" ate them, Poul?
Crocuses and tulips are well know to be subject to the depredatiions of squirrels and mice, but sternbergia? The bulb-consuming critters of Denmark would seem to have superior tastes!

It is Narcissus fly, as snowdrop and daffodil bulbs are poisonous for rodents. Unfortunately my clusiana's all are replanted, have a lot of unplanted sicula which I will not plant at all.

This year I have had the worst attach on my Sternbergias. Some Sicula, some Lutea and my Clusiana have been destroyed by the Narcissus fly. (And some Narcissus cylamineus) Luckely I found a pea sized Clusiana bulb, so I still have the species, but no flowers the next years.
Janus, if your are going to discard your Siculas I will be glad to have a few!

Maybee that's a bad idea. Sternbergias are on the Cites list so exporting them could give too much trouble.
