Last Sunday saw the above event which as always was a show, the AGM and some talks during the afternoon. All in all a good event
Here are a couple of plants from the show including the best in show by Cyclamen graecum anatolicum shown by Ian Robertson amnd a few other ayt random. There were other forum members present so perhaps they will post also
The close up is a poor shot (the light was not good) of the a new hederiflium collected on a recent trip by the Society but the colour was the reddest colour I have seen
-
Thank goodness you posted these pictures, Ian... of course we will all enjoy seeing them, but they may prove a life-saver for Diane, who was beside herself with angst at not being able to see the show while "detained" at the AGS conference in Stratford on Avon! Her plaintiff criesat the prospect of being denied her clyclamen "fix" were piteous to hear, I tell you!

Indeed! the withdrawal symptoms were dreadful. :'( :'( :P :'( :'(
Thanks for these Ian, much appreciated. The red one is a stunner. Was the hederifolium with the pale-centred leaf one of Melvyn's do you remember? If you don't, perhaps Melvyn will tell us himself
-
Diane I can't remember I was probably doing too much talking :-\. It was very different. Melvyn if you are out there

Yes Maggi I know :'( I heard the sad story from Diane
Here is one I forgot

Thanks for taking us to the show, Ian!
That "red hed" is amazing but I guess if there are red C. persicum varieties then the gene must be in their make-up somewhere! Now to find a pure yellow ;D
cheers

Sorry, I picked up on this thread a bit late and have to respond that the C. hederifolium was not one of mine but it was me that took the red hederifolium and with the way the bumblebees have been so active over the last few days there should be a good seed set.
You were missed Diane!
-
hehe, so beautifull they are....where I can purchase this species seeds or bubs? thanks advance
-
Hi Yijiawang
If you join the Cyclamen Soc, you can apply for a basic allocation of seeds from the annual seed distribution.
More seeds can also be purchased.

Hi All
Cyclamen Soc Autumn show is at Wisley this saturday. :)
Eric
Thanks Eric nice of you to show these to those of us that couldn't make it - maybe next year
-
Thanks for taking us to the show Eric !!!
What a wonderful display ! :D
-
Thanks a lot for the lovely photos Eric
Is there any chance that anyone can identify the close ups and tell what sp. it is even if the cultivar name or subsp. might not be known?
I will try to look at them again to see the different sp. and learn the differences.
I enjoy the photos even without knowing the names as these are great.
Great thanks
Joakim

I spotted seed of a red C.hederifolium being offered in the most recent Witton Lane Seed List, at £2.50/pkt.

Thanks Eric (and Maggi) it was a great start and a good reason to look at the pics again.
Thy even had the full name I would have been happy even with the second (since I know that they are Cyclamen I do not need their first ::) ).
Truly great to see such plants.
All the best
Joakim
