I have had also this doubt, the bulbs of Cyrtanthus elatus possess  them from various years, have bought from two various sources, and the plants and the flowers are similar, stems is the cm 60 and the leaves are wide approximately 1,5, the C. montanus is more little  in the dimensions ???

It is the form of the flower that is more like montanus!

it could be a hybrid, I would have to see other C. elatus in flower for sure being
