Hi all ,
I'm glad to share with you today a pic of my
Stenomesson miniatum ( earlier Urceolina peruviana )
I have received this plant in spring from a very nice forum member from Australia ;)
Enjoy
Hans

Congratulations on giving this plant life in Europe Hans - it's gorgeous and, I imagine, minute? Does it actually come from Peru originally?
-
very beautiful, I waited for from four years a flower from my plants :-\
-
Thank you Robin and Alessandro ;)
Robin : yes this plants comes from Peru !
Alessandro : I dont know why they start with flowers now - they lost her leaves before some weeks and now they start with a flowerstalk ....maybe a result of Phostrogen fertilizer ?
-
Stunning Hans, stunning. You know my feeling about bulbous plants. You are making use of a very top class fertiliser with high potassium for the flower and stalk development. It is the best for bulbs. I think it is normal for them to flower without leaves. Have a look here on the second photo. http://www.bulbsociety.org/GALLERY_OF_THE_WORLDS_BULBS/GRAPHICS/Stenomesson/Stenomesson_miniatum/Stenomessonminiatum.html
and here http://www.backyardgardener.com/plantname/pda_4714.html in the first paragraph.
Now I have another new bulb to find !!!

Thanks Heinie ;)
Yes it is true - if we have one of the bulbs that we search ...so we hunt for the next ;D
I hope my plant will make any offsets - and shure I have it self pollinatet ;)
-
Hans, congratulations, it's an amazing plant, I didn't know it :)
-
Hans, that's not a true flower, it is a wax flower, you joke with us! 8) :P
-
::)
Alberto , you must not say it all :'( :'( :'(
it is not a problem for me ( from my earlier profession ) to make such flowers from wax ;D
