I have received this message from Jyl in Canada..... I am at a loss to suggest a book for her..... can anyone help?
"Dear S.R.G.C., I am a member of the Alpine Garden Club of British
Columbia Canada and for a number of years have been getting many
varieties of aquilegia species from their seed exchange. Then after
planting them to find out that they are very different, especially in
size. I have not been able to find a book or good info on all the
different species and was wondering if any of your members could help
me? They may not be the most interesting plants to some, but I have
had 1 or more species flowering since early spring and the last
flowers are fading off a real tall plant now ----- thats almost 5
months of flower!!! Thank You for any help HAPPY

Maggi,
Robert Nold & Cindy Nelson-Nold, Columbines; Aquilegia, Paraquilegia, and Semiaquilegia published by Timber Press
Apologies but I am not going to go rooting for the ISBN as I know the book is at the bottom of a big pile.

Ah, yes! I knew there must be one..... written by Bob Nold with illustrations by his wife Cindy, who tragically died not so very long ago.
Here is the ISBN reference.... ISBN 0–88192–588–8

I believe that the book is actualy now out of print. You may have to check Amazon or one of the second hand book sites. It is an excellent book.

Interesting, David, I was just about to post that you have it in stock, from your new list out with the Journal! :-\

I think that I have one last copy left, Maggie. I did not mention it because, taking postage into account, I think that Jyl would find it more cheaply in Canada.
