Title: Forumist abroad......
Post by: Maggi Young on July 10, 2009, 09:13:03 PM: You will have read, I hope, in the Flowering Now section, that Forumist Arne has recently completed his gruelling exam schedule .
Now I expect that you will be thinking that he will be off to the beach to lie in the sun and take a well-earned rest?
No such thing for Arne, who is one of the Forum's keenest young plantsmen.......... in a week or so he is headed for Scotland, where he will gain some work experience with Nursery owner Susan Band and at the Explorers' Garden at Pitlochry with Julia Corden.
These two stalwarts of the SRGC are pleased to be able to welcome Arne to Scotland and I know Arne is excited to be able to have the chance to work with and learn from Susan and Julia. He'll have a most instructive time with two of our cleverest growers ..... and most likely a great deal of fun, too.

Congratulations on getting those exams behind you, Arne, Bon voyage and we hope your time in Scotland is all you wish it to be!!
