This is a long shot, I know, but would anyone have Lilium chalcedonicum flowering or about to flower and be prepared to send me an anther or two so I can use the pollen on my flowers?
I have a flower coming on each of two bulbs that I've grown (very slowly!) from scales which came originally from a couple of seedlings that gave up the ghost before flowering. I suspect (knowing my luck) that the two bulbs about to flower will be from scales from the same seedling, and due to self-sterility will not pollinate each other.
But I'd love to get some seed and raise a good batch of seedlings in addition to future scaling.

Would happily Martin, but my 3 are 6-7 months away from flowering. :D They are seedlings from seed sent to me by John Forrest. Maybe a word there?

Martin I have one from Mt Vermion that will bloom for the first time in about a week. I have grown it from a scale I collected some years ago in woods on the mountain.
You are welcome to the pollen if you can wait that long.

Thanks Tony. Mine are still in tight bud and look like they'll be in full flower in about a week, so it may be perfect timing. Would you like to exchange pollen to see if you can get seed set too?
