Title: Arum ID?

Howdy All,

Another from my friend's place.  This Arum sp has different leaves to any I have come across before.  The splashing of colour are very noticeable, plus a fine red edge to the leaf.  It apparently flowers dark purple in spring, but otherwise resembles the form and size etc of so many of the Arum species.  Anyone come across these leaves before and know it?  I'll get a bulb from him next summer, as I just love the leaves.

So.... no ideas from anyone as to which species this is likely to be?  I realise that the leaves are not a perfect identifying factor, but these leaves were just so distinctive to me that I thought they might be enough.  The red edging is something I don't recall on any other species than A. pictum, and it is an autumn flowerer.

the foliage looks a bit like an Arisarum.
No flowers yet?

Fermi,

The flowers are towards spring, and are definitely a purple arum type (my friend is a collector and I am fairly sure he would know the difference.  Much larger than the Arisarum, but yes the splashing is similar to the markings on the cobra lily etc.
