Your forgetting the Ronde van Vlaanderen - Flandern Rundfahrt ! ;D

Like a lot of Flemish people I am a true cycling fan despite all the problems of the last few years - and a lot of Cols in France are quite familiar to me (Ventoux - Galibier - Iseran - etc... etc...).
The good thing is that on top of these cols there are lots of nice alpines growing as well !!  ;D ;D so not only cyclists to admire !

Maggi,
I knew you were going to be watching the Giro !
(All these good looking Italians with their well formed shaven legs...  ;D ;D )
Have fun !

Lovely to see photos of those landscape and plants, Hans!!

When I was very young, my family once almost got stuck in the middle of a car race on Mont Ventoux! I have very faint memories of the occasion.
I was watching the Giro, now tennis - and the translation for today is about a much less positive side of cycling  :( :( :(

Hans,

Am only catching up with this section now, as I rarely get in here.  No way I am going to catch up with 3 whole pages of topics that I haven't read, but will try for a few of those topics that are close to the beginning.  ;D

Thanks for sharing your pics........ Great pics of a fascinating place.  Interesting orchids, and oh the colours in the ground.  :o  Such pinks etc are just amazing.  :)
