Title: Happy Mother's Day!

a few posies--outdoors, first
Caltha Palustris
not open yet..in situ
Glechoma
not native, but this is naturalised in a pasture, one spot
Petasites
our earliest native forb;in situ
Salix
males in full flower;in situ
Pulsatilla
still potted

a few more, indoors now!
Brasilicactus haselbergii (notocactus or even parodia for those so inclined)
flowering for several weeks, this is not the best shot/most flowers, but it's today's! 4.5-5inch pot
Gymnocalycium pflanzii
second flower of the year, not fully open; 5.5-6inch pot
Gymnocalycium ragonesi
not fully open either, but i may not catch it as it flowers afternoon, and next few days i work, also depends on sun.. 2.5 inch pot
Haworthia cooperi
tiny flowers on longish stalk

Mother's Day in England was in March, can't remember the date.

Not just England David. ;D Remember where you are! ::) It is the 4th Sunday in Lent (this year 22nd March) has been celebrated for over 400 years. http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/customs/easter/mothers.htm

Great see your photos from outdoors and indoors - love the shots of the salix and the flowering cacti are very intriguing  :)

Mother's Day in England was in March, can't remember the date.

well, then,  you would have been able to pick spring flowers there too ! ;)

thanks, robin (is that your actual name?) the salix seem extra showy this year.. i guess the wet years have agreed with them...
