Computer problems have delayed me in posting the pictures of my visit to Anne's garden in Tockwith, Yorkshire on the first of her open days. The other open days are 7 June and 13 September (1 - 5 pm).
The 'Yellow Book' is the directory of the hundreds of gardens which open for charity in England and Wales under the National Gardens Scheme (www.ngs.org.uk).

Some of the plants...
... and the plants I bought from the well-stocked plant stall. Anne's lovely cards with her botanical illustrations were also for sale, along side the impressive choice of cakes.
In all a most enjoyable afternoon.

What a lovely garden Anne has..... and you had sunshine to enjoy it, Vivien; what could be nicer?
The kitchen garden is so neat and looks very well stocked.....it makes me hungry to look at that photo, never mind those 5-star cakes!!
I reckon the garden should be open under the NCS, too...that's the National Cake Society, of course ;) :D

That would put the icing on it, Maggi!
Beautiful garden Anne ... thanks for the lovely images, Vivien.

Now that is really a beautiful garden, Anne.
And your small nursery seems to be nicely separated from the garden too?
Thank you for showing Vivien.

Thanks for that Vivien, it was good to meet you - and we had a really good day weatherwise, which always helps! Any requests for June guest cake? :P
