Title: I rooted a euonymus emerald n gold in south facing area-its turning yellow?
Post by: newstart on April 20, 2009, 08:18:47 PM
Hi I rooted an emerald n gold euomymus in a south facing location from last autumn. It is turning into a pure yellow. different to the original growth. Is this reverting or is it juvenile growth or are its small roots(in 9cm) pot stuggling with the south sun. Are they like alpines best grown in good light but not direct light in there young stages. I rooted 3 in the same 9cm pot in garden soil ,loam based, not a cutting mix and added growmore in february??

Thanks folks!

David,

The odd all gold branch on this euonymous is not unusual. Planted out in the garden it will quickly perform as normal.

Should alpine plants be potted up and left in good light ,but not direct light, and shrubs dont matter as much?
If so would this be while they root a little more into a 9cm pot before they are put in full light?
