About 8 years ago I got a small plant of Woodsia glabella, collected in Mongolia.
After some time there were some geophytic leaves growing from the rootball.
The first flower occured this year about 3 weeks ago and I would be grateful
for more information.

Gagea is probably the most difficult Genus in terms of identification, at the moment it seems that there are around 280 species and many natural hybrids too.
Only a small number of species can be identify easily by the color or form of the flowers and by the number of leaves, many other species can be identified by the form of the roots and by the existence or lack of bulblets.
Your plant has this uncommon reflected [backwords] petals and seems to produce bulblets [by the many new young leaves] but I'm afraid it is almost impossible to ID it only by the photo.

Oron,
many thanks for your note about my Gagea. I didn't know, that so many species
of Gagea are existing and agree, that an exact identification is not possible by a photo. The plant seems
to set seeds and I hope to save them.
