From South Africa, easy to grow, to flower and to get seeds with this nice sp.
I grow it in the greenhouse.

I don't think Babiana are difficult in culture, just not hardy in our climate.

Have you tried pygmaea? It's a wonderful plant, huge yellow flowers and the best one I have seen by far.

The whole genus is fabulous. At least half of the species come from the hot desertic northwest.
Full sun and very well drained soil. The buried portion of the "stem" produces several offsets a season. This is why Babiana corms must be deep planted and do better in really deep pots.
