Peter Korn is the hardworking young Swedish gardener who has made quite a name for himself here in Scotland.  He was responsible, with his friend, Johan Nilson, for  building the stunning new Swedish peat block walls at the Explorer's Garden at Pitlochry last October.  Peter is also a an excellent Speaker and will be back in Scotland in the autumn of this year as the SRGC Travelling Speaker.
Mark has given the url of his website, here are some photos of his gardens

Re Peter's work at the Explorer's Garden in Pitlochry, this project was funded by the SRGC.
see this page on the old forum :

Some good info here, http://www.perthshire.co.uk/index.asp?pg=135   from the tourist board, plus the official sites:
The website of the Garden, run by Julia Corden, is here: http://www.pitlochry.org.uk/garden.php
This is part ofthe Pitlochry Festival Theatre site, www.explorersgarden.com will transfer you there, too.
And this page is about Peter and Johan's work there:

What you don't say about Scoliopus bigelowii is what I found out at our last AGS meeting - They smell horrible!

Anne, Anne, harsh words. You just shouldn't get too close, they are shy little things, you must have scared them!! ;)  Well, okay, they whiff a bit! But the green and maroon/black markings are just exquisite. I only wish the spotting that is so attractive on the young leaves did not fade as the leaves mature. The flowers last for ages and come out over a long period.

Peter's spade was donated to my mum, but I am still waiting to see the miracle results he said would happen!
Maybe you have to lift it up first, prehaps it doesn't work when it is hanging up.

What a fantastic garden, and I bet it didn't take him as long to do that as it took me to do my raised bed. I have to go to Sweden!

David, he works like a demon, normal folks could have a heart attack just watching him!
If I had a garden that needed redesigning and I could afford him, I'd hire Peter in a flash. He has such a good "eye" for layout and design, and much of what he is making at his home is also boldly innovative, in my opinion.

On the old Forum I asked about places to visit after the Czech Rock Garden Conference and Doreen Mear suggested Goteborg and gave me contacts for the Botanic Garden and Peter Korn. If all goes well I'll be there in May before the Aberdeen Show!
A few things have to fall into place first, but I'll keep my fingers crossed!
cheers
fermi
PS the nick name for Scoliopus is "wet dog"!
