Have finally got round to sorting some photos from our trip to Denver and Yellowstone in October. The gardens were amazing, they had loads of character, sometimes missing in public gardens. The use of grass was great, it really suited the climate. There was not much flowering as it so late in the season but still plenty to see and the design was outstanding. There were prairie plantings and a great Japanese garden as well as a well stocked rock garden.
After the botanics we drove right through Wyoming to Yellowstone National Park as saw hundreds of geysers and an amazing amount of wildlife including Grizzly bears, wolves. moose, elks, bison and Bighorn sheep.
Coming back we stopped and Jackson hole and had a look at the Grand Teton mountains.
Although it was pretty cold at this time of year it was sunny and quite.
Would recommend this trip to anyone.

Good golly, Susan. These were posted on Nov 28th. and I missed them, so thanks to Paul for bringing them back to attention.
Wonderful photographs though the bison in the garden would be rather a nuisance.
So, Susan, I'm sure you have more of these wonderful photographs and might now be tempted to post for our pleasure.
