Pat, sorry I can't help, I don't really know anyone growing these "wild" roses, either  ???

I heard from a friend in California that he is advising on a proposed "desert rose garden" in Albuquerque New Mexico and will include species roses from dry climates such as the Hulthemia species.

Let me know if you find one, Pat :D
It's something I'd like to try here! I'm so sorry we missed out on meeting when you came to Victoria :'(
Hopefully there'll be another chance sometime soon. I'd love your input about where to site a bed for "difficult" iris!
cheers
fermi
