I am looking for seed or leaves (cuttings) of Ramondia nathaliae. I never get seed from my plant.

Hans,

Johannes,
have you tried leaf cuttings?

Göte,
yes we tried cuttings with success, but all of our plants do not produce seeds and we do not know why.
All other Ramondia have lots of seeds.

Hans, I could send you some leaves of both purple and white nathaliae. Not BIG leaves, but still with bases for rooting. Mine have never set seed either. From here, your early spring might be the best time?

The first thought when a plant NEVER sets seed is that it is self-sterile. The second that it is triploid. If you Lesley have more than one colour it can not be self-sterile. It is also highly unlikely that we have triploids of more than one strain. Has anyone of you tried to pollinate by hand?

Ramonda nathaliae seed is available on both the SRGC and AGS Seed Exchanges.

I have a spare plant from the jca686 collection if you want it
