Title: Maritime Alps
Post by: Michal Hoppel on October 31, 2008, 03:57:35 PM
I've visited Maritime Alps in June that year. It was one-week trip of Rock Garden Club Prague with a base in Saint Dalmas small town. All five days we had great sunny weather, many marvellous plants including Primula allioni, good vine and perfect buddies.

Just starting with a few photos:
Erysimum rhaeticum
Gentiana acaulis
Pulsatila alpina subsp apiifolia
Saxifraga diapensioides
Anemone narcissiflora

Michael,

How wonderful to see photographs with sun!!!

But especially enjoyable to see such beautiful flowers, very well  photographed and shown at their very best. I think the pulsatilla and the anemone are particularly beautiful.

A wonderful set of shots - but you were there for five days, so I hope you will post more. I would love to see more from this area.

Paddy

There was a lot of sun in Maritimes indeed, now in Poland there is foggy, rainy etc and best thing to do is to have a look at these sunny photos. There is some more attached:

Viola calcarata
Viola calcarata - white form
Viola calcarata - yellow form
Viola calcarata - another vellow form
Vitaliana primuliflora (Androsace primuliflora)

If someone knows better name of these violas let me know please :)

It was between 18 and 24 June - a lot of plants in full flower.
