Title: Chasmanthe aethiopica
Post by: SueG on September 01, 2008, 04:39:10 PM
Please can anyone help me track down seed of this - it's the one Chasmanthe I've never managed to lay my hands on and I'd like to see just what it's like?
Thanks for any suggestions
Sue

Dear Sue,
It is listed at  http://www.b-and-t-world-seeds.com/alaCart.asp
They are quite slow to reply, but it always comes in the end.

Hello!

My C. aethiopica is blooming at the moment. It produces a lot of nectar by the way :)

Hi Sue:

Chasmanthes are large plants and sensitive to even slight frosts (that turn the foliage a sickly yellowish green). All three species are available as seed and also the attractive yellow form, duckittiae
